Main duties of the job Working as part of the QE Facilities Outpatient Pharmacy team, you will help deliver a professional, high-quality and patient-focused service to patients and visitors.
You will provide excellent customer service, support the safe sale of over-the-counter medicines within your level of training and competency, and ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
The role also involves following Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), understanding the legal and professional requirements of working within a GPh C-registered pharmacy, and maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
You will be responsible for processing cash and card payments, supporting stock control activities, ordering pharmacy counter stock, assisting with stock take activity, and printing of patient prescriptions.
Working closely with colleagues, you will contribute to the achievement of service objectives and key performance indicators, while actively participating in training, appraisal and personal development activities to maintain and enhance your knowledge and skills.
About us QE Facilities (QEF) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust (GHNT), based in the North East of England.
We provide a range of non- clinical services to GHNT and other NHS organisations.
