Our client based in the area of Wem is looking for an experienced Wood Machinist. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving team that is looking for someone who will be integral to the business.
Your duties will be:
- Unwrap, de-band and prepare incoming packs of timber in readiness for use by the Machinist / Sawyer to ensure efficient throughput of timber.
- Wrap and strap completed timber packs to ensure safe transportation and to maintain quality.
- Use of a Multi Rip/Cross Cut and band saw operation.
- Setting wood machine for specific cuts.
- Loading the machine with wood.
- Sharpen blades & discs when needed.
- Setting mould specific to requirements i.e. - Manufacturing wooden flooring.
Hours - 7 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday
