Our client based in the area of Wem (20 minutes drive from Shrewsbury) is looking for a Sawyer to join their thriving team on the Timber Yard. Is this the role you are looking for? If so, read on for more details, and make sure to apply today.
It is essential that you have the ability to use Multi Rip-Saws and automatic cross cut. Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all orders are sawn to the correct specification
- Working to achieve allocated KPIs and efficiencies
- Ensuring health and safety standards in the department are met
- Keeping a high standard of housekeeping
Experience in a Timber Manufacturing environment or Builders Merchants would be beneficial. Must be fully trained on setting and running Stenner, Wadkin, Robinson or similar Band Resaws / Multi-rip saws / manual & automatic crosscut. Must have a Can do attitude to work and have the ability to work well as part of a team.
Hours - 7 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday
