About the Role

You will provide personalised support to our QCSS (Queensland Community Support Scheme) clients within their homes in Ipswich. You will provide supports to people with a disability, illness or mental health condition to maintain their independence and achieve their goals. This is a Permanent Part Time opportunity with working hours available between 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, no evening or sleepover shifts. You will be required to travel to support multiple clients each day within Ipswich and surrounds, so a willingness to travel is essential to this role (you will be reimbursed .99 cents per kilometre travelled while you work). Key Responsibilities

  • Domestic assistance such as light house cleaning and meal preparation
  • Personal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and wellbeing
  • Skill development and social support
  • Community access to appointments, social events and shopping
  • Promote independence according to individual needs and goals
  • Establish a rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and their families

Skills & Experience

  • An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Excellent organisational skills, hygiene practices and problem-solving abilities
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
