Director HSSE & Asset Risk – UK, London – 7 Month Contract
Are you passionate about playing a role in the green energy transition? Do you want to work for one of the best-established developers in offshore wind?

Our client is a leading developer in the industry, owning and developing projects across all major and emerging offshore wind markets. They are now recruiting with a superb new opportunity for a Director HSSE & Asset Risk to join them on an initial 7 month contractual basis, based in London.

With a significant track record of successfully delivering projects and a vast project pipeline across the UK, Europe and emerging international markets, this is an incredibly exciting time to join them in their current project.

What You\’ll Do

  • Lead the HSSE & Asset Risk team to ensure safe, secure and healthy working conditions and procedures for all colleagues and business partners globally
  • Establish and maintain HSSE policies, standards and procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Ensure safety and security by design
  • Develop and maintain systems and tools to report and analyze HSSE incidents and asset risks
  • Execute HSSE programs in order to drive a global HSSE-oriented culture within Offshore Wind
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and contractors on HSSE policies, procedures and regulations.

What you\’ll need:

  • University degree in occupational health and safety, renewable energy, engineering or equivalent
  • Proven track record of successful leadership in health and safety, preferably within the offshore wind or related industries dealing with large-scale construction projects
  • Experience in health, safety and environmental management of offshore wind projects
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and the ability to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing health and safety management systems
  • Success driven personality, dedicated to drive operational performance against challenging boundary conditions
  • Languages: English mandatory, additional languages of advantage
