Having received significant investment, this established data centre group is in their next phase of growth and require the expertise of a Design Manager. They have established partnerships with many of the well-known technology powerhouses and tailor to their client's requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the full design lifecycle, ensuring design packages, standards and specifications meet strategic objectives and technical requirements.
- Oversee procurement and vendor selection, guiding regional project leads and driving value engineering.
- Manage cross-functional design coordination, integrating all design changes and ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance, and risk mitigation through on-site inspections, lessons-learned processes, and technical oversight.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in data centre design management or equivalent engineering leadership roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of critical cooling and power infrastructure within data centre environments.
- Familiarity with European construction markets, building codes, and fire ordinances.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, building services engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
