This is a full-time, on-site role for an Ofsted Registered Manager based in Ipswich. The Registered Manager will oversee the daily operations of a children’s residential care service, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations. Responsibilities include managing staff, monitoring safeguarding practices, implementing care plans, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role also involves budget management, liaising with external agencies, and maintaining a positive and nurturing environment for staff and residents.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing and supervising teams in a childcare setting
- Extensive knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective care plans
- Experience in budget and resource management for care services
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, staff, and external agencies
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification (or willing to work towards it)
- Understanding of mental health, learning disabilities, and vulnerable populations
- Experience in running a children’s residential care provision is highly desirable
