We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to play a pivotal role within a client team based in London. You will oversee and drive the successful mobilisation and delivery of access control and CCTV projects across the client’s portfolio. This position will involve supporting enterprise-level application implementations, managing migrations from legacy systems, and providing expert troubleshooting. The ideal candidate must excel in multitasking and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is an on-site role, based in the St Pauls, London area, requiring five days per week on-site presence. Occasional travel, particularly to Europe, may be necessary.
What you will do
- Supporting Enterprise level application implementations, including programming, testing and commissioning, and project completion activities.
- Provide remote support and expert advice for break-fix events across client sites in the UK, Ireland, EMEA, and APAC regions.
- Oversee and manage the service and maintenance of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and break-fix requirements, integrating these responsibilities into the Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations, particularly for senior engineers.
- Participation in the Request for Change (RFC) Change Control process system to support PPM and break-fix activities.
- Supervise and oversee documentation for the commissioning process and ensure final sign-off.
- Manage and maintain the commissioning folders for each project, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Occasionally travel within the UK and Central Europe to support critical security infrastructure projects or to resolve urgent break-fix issues.
- Oversee and execute the system configuration of the C-Cure and Victor servers for adding new or modifying existing installations.
- Process the administration of systems, providing a robust triage service through a 24/7 Command Centre for all reported technical issues and manage any subsequent requirement and fault resolution from the vendor engineer.
- Monitor technical bulletins and liaise with the technical support functions to manage any known issues that could affect the specific product lines and provide management with advice on recommended mitigations.
- Responsible for ensuring that system projects are completed, from requirements gathering, and system/solutions design, through to deployment within agreed deadlines, within budget, and any potential issues escalated in line with internal policy while maintaining the client's best interests.
- Act as the main point of escalation technically and operationally.
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary global team.
- Prepare and deliver accurate weekly reports covering incidents, downtime, and business impact across all platforms, in alignment with the client lead requirements.
- Provide communications within the group and actively participate in meetings.
- Continually ensure that practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s and the Company’s best interests.
What we are looking for
- Experienced and certified in C-Cure 9000 AACS Application level 2 and Genetec Synergis and security centre.
- Experienced and certified in Victor VMS/CCTV Application.
- A high level of proficiency and expertise relevant to the design, deployment, and management of integrated Enterprise physical and technical security systems. This will include a comprehensive understanding of ICT Infrastructure, hosting arrangement, and networks.
- Proven record of working on successful physical security system implementations/migrations, capable of delivering quality solutions and outcomes within complex and time-sensitive environments.
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite including Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to identify and meet project deadlines and deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external parties.
NB: The successful candidate will be required to pass our security screening procedures and those required by our client(s) if necessary.
