QCIC are seeking experienced individuals to join our Enterprise Design & Build team at Senior Consultant level. The successful candidate will have a background in Enterprise security systems design with the ability to project manage the technical and commercial delivery of projects. This involves managing all aspects of the projects including stakeholder engagement, technical escalation, and financials. The group works simultaneously on several projects for global clients so the ideal person should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and running multiple projects consecutively.
The role will involve in-depth knowledge of a range of security systems including, but not limited to Access Control, CCTV/VMS, Intruder Detection systems and intercom systems. Knowledge of the following systems’ manufacturers would be beneficial but not critical - Genetec, CCURE and Lenel. Working hours may fluctuate as support will be required in multiple regions including APAC, EMEA and US.
What you will do
- Systems Design
- Lead on preparing electronic security designs in line with client standards using the QCIC internal design tool for global clients in multiple time zones.
- Ability to read, understand and apply client specific design standards.
- Design security systems, including hardware specifications, layout plans, and integration requirements taking into consideration current software versions and specifications.
- Develop detailed project documentation, including system schematics, technical specifications, and installation guidelines as well as effective document control management.
- Review and approve equipment specification in line with client standards.
- Present proposed designs to client teams and gain design approval.
- Collaborate with internal applications team and/or systems integrators to allow delivery of systems programming and testing and commissioning of installed systems.
- Stay updated on the latest security technologies and trends, making recommendations for enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Project Delivery
- Ensure that projects are completed from design through to deployment within agreed deadlines, within budget and any potential issues escalated in line with internal policy whilst maintaining the clients’ best interests.
- Manage contractor delivery, ensuring quality and risk aspects.
- Act as a point of escalation for the group both technically and operationally.
- Work competently on an independent basis.
- Work collaboratively in a multidiscipline global team.
- Communicate directly with clients and actively participate/lead meetings.
- Continually ensure that practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s and the Company’s best interests, and that Company policy is in keeping with current legislation, International Standards and Codes of Practice etc.

- Prepare fee proposals and scope of works and update internal systems.
- Manage budgets for the projects within the account.
- Be able to report clearly on the progress and financials of projects and prepare weekly reporting for the account manager/senior management.
- Manage and plan for resources required for the project.
- Report regularly into key stakeholders on project progress identifying achievements and risks and promoting continuous improvement.
