The successful candidate will have a background inEnterprisesecuritysystemsdesign with the ability toproject manage thetechnical and commercial delivery of projects.This involvesmanagingall aspects of the projectsincludingstakeholder engagement, technicalescalation,andfinancials.The group workssimultaneously on several projectsfor global clientsso the ideal person should be comfortable working in a fast-pacedenvironmentand running multiple projectsconsecutively.
The role will involvein-depthknowledge of a range of security systems including,but not limited toAccess Control, CCTV/VMS, Intruder Detection systemsand intercom systems.Knowledge of the following systems’manufacturers would be beneficialbut not critical–Genetec, CCURE and Lenel.Workinghours may fluctuate as support will berequiredin multiple regions including APAC,EMEAand US.
Whatyou will do
Systems Design
- Lead on preparing electronic security designs in line with client standards usingtheQCIC internal design tool for global clients in multiple time zones.The designs are taken through concept and preliminary strategy stages to detailed design
- Ability to read, understand and apply client specific design standards
- Design security systems, including hardware specifications, layout plans, and integration requirements taking into consideration current software versions and specifications
- Develop detailed project documentation, including system schematics, technical specifications, and installation guidelines as well as effective document control management
- Review and approve equipment specification in line with client standards
- Present proposed designs to client teams and gain design approval
- Collaborate with internal applications team and/or systemsintegratorsto allow delivery of systems programming and testing and commissioning of installed systems
- Stay updated on the latest security technologies and trends, making recommendations for enhancements
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
Project Delivery
- Ensurethat projects are completed from design through to deployment within agreed deadlines, within budget and any potential issues escalated in line with internal policy whilstmaintainingthe clients’ best interests
- Manage contractor delivery, ensuring quality and riskaspects
- Act as a point of escalation for the group both technically and operationally
- Work competently on an independent basis
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplineglobalteam
- Communicate directly with clients andactivelyparticipate/leadmeetings
- Continually ensure that practices, policies, strategy, and servicesrepresentthe client’s and the Company’s best interests, and that Company policy is in keeping with current legislation, International Standards and Codes of Practice etc.
Commercial
- Preparefee proposalsand scope of worksand update internal systems
- Manage budgetsforthe projects within the account
- Be able to report clearly on theprogress and financials ofprojectsand prepare weekly reporting for theaccountmanager/seniormanagement
- Manageand plan forresourcesrequiredfor theproject
- Report regularly into key stakeholders on project progressidentifyingachievements andrisksand promoting continuous improvement
