Main Purpose/Job Summary:
You will be responsible for the capture, preservation, processing, analysis, and reporting of data associated with mobile devices in support of investigative and legal processes. This role involves the use of specialist tools and methods in accordance with the ISO 17025 standard and the FSR Code requirements. You will collaborate with clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely forensic examinations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all forensic activities adhere to legal, ethical, and organisational standards.
- Follow best practices for evidence handling, data integrity, and confidentiality.
- Analysis of data associated with mobile devices in line with internal policies and procedures and customer requirements.
- Accurately record your work and actions in QCC’s case management systems to ensure client requirements are met or exceeded.
- Produce reports, statements and evidence which can be presented in court.
- Assist in the ongoing maintenance of QCC’s ISO and other accreditations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy at work.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Familiarity with various mobile operating systems (iOS, Android, Feature Phones) and associated artifacts.
- Experience in the use of industry standard forensic tools, analysis of data and of digital forensics within the Criminal Justice System.
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO 17025 and the FSR Code is desirable.
- A degree within a relevant field (desirable but not essential).
Other Role Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years UK residency.
- You must pass our pre-hire and annual security vetting procedures in accordance with the ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) National Vetting Scheme.
- May require occasional travel to support field operations or attend court proceedings.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential).
