The London Restructuring team forms part of the firm’s wider international offering and advises on sophisticated restructuring and insolvency matters.
Its client base includes debtors, creditors, sponsors, agents, strategic investors, private equity firms, hedge funds and investment banks, alongside other distressed debt and par investors.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Advise on a varied range of restructuring and insolvency matters.
- Handle complex UK and cross‑border mandates involving businesses and stakeholders across several jurisdictions.
- Represent parties throughout the capital structure including debtors, creditors, sponsors, agents and investors.
- Gain experience across stressed and distressed situations, workouts and refinancings.
- Support mandates involving private equity firms, hedge funds, investment banks and other distressed debt and par investors.
- Contribute to assignments spanning the UK, Europe and wider international markets.
- Draw on expertise from complementary teams and colleagues based across the firm’s global offices.
- Build your technical capabilities as part of an expanding London Restructuring team.
- THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- A qualified lawyer with between 1-5 years’ PQE.
- Relevant experience in restructuring, insolvency or closely related matters.
- Previous involvement in complex or cross‑border mandates would be advantageous.
- A sound understanding of the legal and financial considerations arising in stressed and distressed situations.
- Excellent drafting and analytical abilities, supported by close attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing detailed assignments involving numerous parties and jurisdictions.
- An effective communicator who can engage confidently with clients, colleagues and professional advisers.
- A genuine interest in progressing within an international Restructuring team.
