THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Advising on a broad range of residential development matters, with a particular focus on housebuilding and strategic land.
  • Acting for a strong and established client base including national housebuilders, developers, landowners, housing associations and investors.
  • Working on a mix of transactions including conditional and unconditional contracts, option agreements, promotion agreements and site assembly.
  • Exposure to more complex strategic land and collaboration agreements as part of a wider development offering.
  • Collaborating closely with specialist teams across planning, construction, tax and environmental to deliver a fully integrated service.
  • Playing an active role in a growing Sheffield presence, with the opportunity to shape and contribute to the team’s continued expansion.
  • Supporting and developing client relationships, with increasing responsibility depending on level.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Qualified Real Estate lawyer with experience in residential development / housebuilding.
  • Operating at Associate through to Legal Director level.
  • Strong technical grounding across development transactions and strategic land work.
  • Experience acting for developers, housebuilders or landowners would be highly advantageous.
  • Commercially aware with a client‑focused approach.
  • Able to manage transactions with increasing autonomy and confidence.
  • Ambitious, proactive and keen to be part of a growing team.
