THE ROLE- Advise on complex development planning matters - from residential and mixed-use schemes to commercial and logistics sites.
- Draft and negotiate section 106 agreements and highways agreements to unlock major development opportunities.
- Guide clients through the planning application process including review of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
- Support on town centre compulsory purchase orders (CPOs) and advise on compensation.
- Represent clients in planning appeals and public inquiries.
- Provide advice on public law issues, including statutory powers, vires and administrative law principles.
- Work on projects spanning major UK regions - with a strong presence in London, the North and Scotland.
- Enjoy real responsibility on projects and work closely with senior lawyers and partners to drive results.
- UK-qualified Planning Lawyer with 6+ years’ PQE.
- Strong experience advising on development planning or infrastructure consenting matters.
- A sharp eye for drafting and negotiating planning and highways agreements.
- Solid understanding of planning legislation, public law, and statutory processes.
- Ability to manage multiple client needs, deliver under pressure and maintain high service standards.
