About the Firm
For defendant personal injury lawyers accustomed to handling substantial caseloads of serious injury claims, this is an opportunity to join the Manchester team of a major international legal business with a significant insurance practice.
Following the award of new work, the team is looking to appoint several lawyers from Solicitor through to Senior Associate level. The roles will focus on defendant catastrophic and large loss claims across RTA, motor, personal injury and employers' and public liability matters.
The Opportunity
- Manage your own caseload of around 200 defendant claims.
- Handle cases typically valued at approximately £250,000.
- Work across catastrophic injury and large loss matters involving RTA, motor, EL/PL and wider personal injury claims.
- Assess quantum and manage reserves across your caseload.
- Take responsibility for the effective progression and management of individual claims.
- Join a Manchester team making several appointments following the award of new work.
- Work on a hybrid basis, with attendance at the Manchester office expected at least once a week.
The Ideal Candidate
- A qualified solicitor with approximately 3-9 years' PQE.
- Defendant catastrophic injury and/or large loss experience.
- Experience across RTA, motor, personal injury and/or EL/PL claims.
- Accustomed to independently managing a substantial caseload of around 200 matters.
- Experience handling claims around the £250,000 level.
- Confident assessing quantum and dealing with reserves.
- Comfortable taking ownership of a busy defendant caseload.
- Able to attend the Manchester office at least once a week.
