THE OPPORTUNITY
- Join a growing Corporate team in Manchester.
- Advise on a broad range of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, equity capital markets, business and asset sales, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations.
- Act on both buy-side and sell-side transactions including PE-backed deals and public company work such as IPOs and equity fundraisings.
- Take an active role in due diligence exercises, data room reviews and disclosure processes.
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents including share purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements and ancillary documentation.
- Support and lead elements of transactions with increasing autonomy.
- Benefit from early exposure to clients and involvement in business development and tender activity.
- Progress quickly within a team that actively supports development and career progression.
- Flexible and hybrid working arrangements available.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Qualified Solicitor with 1-5 years’ PQE.
- Strong M&A experience gained within a similar sized firm.
- Excellent technical ability with a commercial and pragmatic approach.
- Experience managing a caseload and contributing meaningfully to transactions.
- Strong communication and client service skills.
- High levels of organisation and attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player with a flexible and proactive mindset.
- Willingness to work outside normal office hours when required.
