The Opportunity

  • Advising office holders, directors, lenders and other stakeholders on a broad range of restructuring and insolvency matters.
  • Acting on distressed business and asset sales for insolvency practitioners and purchasers.
  • Handling contentious insolvency work including claims involving breach of duty, transactions at undervalue and related disputes.
  • Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision and support.
  • Assisting partners and senior lawyers on larger and more complex restructuring and insolvency matters.
  • Building relationships with insolvency practitioners, accountants and other professional referrers.
  • Contributing to client seminars, training sessions, publications and wider business development initiatives.
  • Working across both advisory and litigation matters as part of a national insolvency practice.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified solicitor with at least 4 years' PQE.
  • Experience across contentious and/or non-contentious insolvency and restructuring matters.
  • Confident managing files independently where appropriate.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent client relationship and communication abilities.
  • Commercially minded with a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable and keen to develop within a growing team.
  • Comfortable contributing to business development and profile-raising activities.
