The Opportunity
- Advise lenders, borrowers, funds and other market participants on sophisticated financing transactions.
- Handle corporate lending alongside leveraged and acquisition finance matters.
- Bring expertise from a complementary specialism such as asset finance, ABL and trade finance, real estate finance, venture debt or structured finance where relevant.
- Structure and negotiate facilities, security arrangements and associated finance documentation.
- Navigate multi-jurisdictional transactions with input from finance lawyers across the firm's European offices.
- Broaden relationships by connecting clients with corporate, real estate, tax, regulatory and restructuring specialists.
- Generate new mandates through your own network while capitalising on introductions and connections across the business.
- Add further weight to the firm's banking and finance credentials in the UK market.
The Ideal Candidate
- A Partner with substantial experience in banking and finance.
- A respected track record advising on significant lender or borrower-side transactions.
- A portable client base and evidence of successfully generating instructions.
- Technical depth in one or more areas of debt finance, leveraged or acquisition finance, asset finance, ABL and trade finance, real estate finance, venture debt or structured finance.
- The commercial awareness to understand the financing objectives behind a transaction rather than approaching matters solely from a legal perspective.
- Confidence operating with banks, funds, alternative lenders, corporates and other sophisticated stakeholders.
- The relationships, reputation and commercial outlook to complement the firm's existing finance capabilities.
