The Opportunity
- Advise on a broad range of real estate development and investment matters across multiple sectors including industrial, office, logistics, retail and living.
- Support clients throughout the full development lifecycle, from conditional land acquisitions and pre-let arrangements through to forward funding, construction phases and disposal strategies.
- Work alongside specialists across planning, environmental, tax, construction and banking disciplines on complex transactions.
- Act for a diverse client base including developers, investors, funders, occupiers and public sector bodies.
- Play a key role in managing client relationships and leading on significant matters.
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of a highly regarded Leeds real estate practice.
- Take an active role in mentoring and supporting more junior lawyers within the team.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified solicitor with 8+ years' PQE in real estate law.
- Strong experience advising on development and investment transactions.
- A thorough understanding of the development lifecycle and the commercial drivers behind complex projects.
- Experience acting for developers, investors, funders or occupiers on high-value real estate matters.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Commercially minded with the confidence to lead matters and manage client relationships.
- Motivated, proactive and keen to contribute to the ongoing growth of the practice.
