The Opportunity
- Join a dedicated team supporting a major client within a structured delivery model.
- Take responsibility for your own commercial property caseload with appropriate supervision and support.
- Draft and negotiate commercial leases, including new leases, renewals and reversionary leases.
- Prepare and negotiate ancillary property documentation, including licences to alter and rent deposit deeds.
- Advise on landlord and tenant management matters, including licences to assign, underlet and deeds of variation.
- Respond to tenant due diligence enquiries and liaise directly with clients and external advisors.
- Manage completion processes, post-completion administration and billing matters.
- Work closely with wider client account teams to ensure consistency of approach and best practice.
- Supervise and support junior lawyers and paralegals assisting on lettings and management matters.
- Develop a detailed understanding of a major client's business and property portfolio.
- Enjoy flexibility around where you work, with the option of a primarily home-based role and periodic travel to Leeds and London as required.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified solicitor with 3+ years' PQE handling commercial property matters in England & Wales.
- Experience drafting and negotiating leases and associated landlord and tenant documentation.
- Ideally experienced in acting for institutional landlords.
- Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
- Comfortable managing a busy and varied caseload within a client-facing environment.
- Experience working with established processes and legal technology tools would be advantageous.
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify risks and deliver practical solutions.
- Proactive, organised and committed to delivering an exceptional client experience.
