The Opportunity

  • Join a busy Corporate team in Leeds working across a diverse range of transactional matters.
  • Advise on mergers and acquisitions, disposals, investments, corporate reorganisations and general corporate advisory work.
  • Act for a broad client base ranging from regional businesses to major national and international organisations.
  • Support clients on complex domestic and cross‑border transactions.
  • Work closely with colleagues across different practice areas and offices on multi‑disciplinary matters.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and help strengthen existing client relationships.
  • Benefit from opportunities to work on national and international mandates while maintaining a strong regional client focus.
  • Take on increasing responsibility in line with experience including mentoring and supporting junior lawyers at Senior Associate and Principal Associate level.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified solicitor with between 5-9 years' PQE in Corporate law.
  • Strong experience advising on M&A transactions and general corporate matters.
  • Exposure to private equity, equity capital markets or cross‑border work would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Able to manage competing deadlines across multiple transactions.
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to business development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Senior Associate and Principal Associate candidates should have experience coaching, supervising or mentoring junior lawyers.
