About the Firm

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a legal practice in Bolton as it looks to strengthen its conveyancing offering with the appointment of two experienced Conveyancers.

Our client is seeking individuals who can take ownership of their own caseload while delivering an efficient and client-focused service.

The role offers exposure to residential and commercial property transactions, with responsibility for matters from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion.

The Opportunity

  • Manage your own caseload of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, leases and transfer documentation.
  • Conduct and review property searches, raising and responding to enquiries as required.
  • Undertake due diligence, including title checks and identifying potential legal issues or restrictions.
  • Liaise directly with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors and conveyancers throughout each transaction.
  • Prepare completion statements and oversee the exchange and completion process.
  • Handle post-completion work, including SDLT returns and Land Registry applications.
  • Maintain accurate case management records and ensure regulatory reporting deadlines are met.
  • Deliver a high standard of client care, providing regular updates and managing expectations throughout the transaction.
  • Ensure matters are handled in accordance with AML regulations, CQS requirements and relevant firm policies.
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • A Qualified Conveyancer, Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or CILEx Fellow with relevant conveyancing experience.
  • At least 2 years' experience managing a full residential and/or commercial conveyancing caseload.
  • Strong working knowledge of property law, Land Registry procedures and SDLT.
  • Experience using a case management system such as Proclaim, Osprey or similar.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of AML and CQS requirements.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a busy caseload independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of new build, shared ownership, flats, Islamic Finance or commercial property transactions would be advantageous.
  • Membership of the CLC, Law Society or CILEx would be beneficial.
  • A portable caseload or existing client relationships would also be desirable.
