The Opportunity

  • Join a highly ranked Finance team in Birmingham working on sophisticated banking and lending transactions.
  • Advise on real estate finance, leveraged finance and corporate lending matters.
  • Work on major regional and national finance transactions including high-value and cross-border deals.
  • Act for UK clearing banks, European banks, investment banks, independent financiers, funders and corporate borrowers.
  • Support clients ranging from listed companies to fast-growing SMEs.
  • Work closely with partners and senior lawyers across a nationally recognised finance practice.
  • Play an active role in client development and the continued growth of the Birmingham finance team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • England & Wales qualified lawyer with 5-8 years’ PQE.
  • Strong finance experience gained at a leading national, regional or City firm.
  • Experience in real estate finance, leveraged finance and/or corporate lending.
  • Technically strong with a commercial, practical and solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent drafting, communication and organisational skills.
  • Confident managing client relationships and supporting business development initiatives.
  • Brings a positive and proactive approach to working with colleagues across a national team.
