The Opportunity
- Advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering matters.
- Supporting projects from procurement and contract negotiation through to delivery and dispute resolution.
- Working with a broad range of industry-standard and bespoke construction contracts including JCT, NEC and international forms.
- Acting on disputes involving adjudication, arbitration, litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Advising clients across a variety of sectors including infrastructure, energy, power, manufacturing and major development projects.
- Building strong client relationships and taking an active role in business development initiatives.
- Working closely with experienced partners and gaining significant exposure to high-profile and technically complex matters.
- Playing a key role in the continued growth and development of a thriving Birmingham practice.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified solicitor with 4+ years' PQE in construction and engineering law.
- Experience in contentious construction, non-contentious construction or a combination of both.
- Strong technical knowledge and a commercial approach to problem-solving.
- Experience advising on construction contracts, project delivery or dispute resolution matters.
