ROLE- Advise on a broad range of UK and EU financial services regulatory issues including in relation to wholesale markets, banking, payment services and asset management.
- Work on complex regulatory matters related to authorisations, perimeter queries and ongoing compliance.
- Assist clients on regulatory reform and implementation projects (e.g. MiFID II, AIFMD, EMIR, CRD, PSD2).
- Support clients through investigations, supervisory engagement and regulatory enforcement processes.
- Get involved in cutting-edge digital finance matters including crypto-assets, DLT, DeFi, AI and data use.
- Collaborate with other practice areas (e.g. corporate, disputes, employment, tax) to deliver seamless advice on multi-disciplinary matters.
- England & Wales qualified solicitor with 1-3 years’ post-qualification experience in financial regulation.
- Solid understanding of UK and/or EU regulatory regimes (including experience advising on FSMA, PRA and FCA rules, MiFID II, AIFMD, PSD2, EMIR, CRR/CRD, etc.).
- Demonstrated interest in emerging areas of regulation such as digital assets, ESG and AI is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to clients and colleagues.
