This is an opportunity to join a Tier 1 ranked real estate team that supports one of the UK’s largest retailers through a dedicated legal service model. Working as part of a specialist team integrated with the client’s in-house legal function, you’ll help manage a large and active real estate portfolio using established processes, legal technology and project management tools.
The team provides consistent, efficient support across a high volume of asset management and property transactions. With a focus on collaboration, process improvement and practical delivery, this model enables the client to meet commercial demands while maintaining quality and control.
ROLE
- Act as a seamless extension of a top-tier client’s in-house legal team.
- Handle a wide variety of commercial property asset management matters such as underleases, lease renewals, regears, licences, surrenders, disposals, pre-acquisition reports and legal due diligence.
- Advise on property queries and collaborate with specialists across legal functions.
- Use innovative delivery models supported by legal tech and project management teams.
- Ensure consistency in legal delivery by sharing best practice across client and firmwide matters.
- Build relationships with the client’s internal teams, delivering clear, timely and commercially focused advice.
- Work closely with partners and a high-performing, collaborative team to support strategic property operations.
REQUIREMENTS
- England & Wales qualified solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE in Real Estate, particularly commercial property and asset management.
- Experience advising on real estate matters for major corporate clients, retail sector experience highly desirable.
- Skilled in drafting, reviewing and managing commercial property documents with precision and clarity.
- Strong task and diary management skills; able to juggle multiple instructions efficiently and to a high standard.
- Curious, commercial and client-centric, with a drive to deliver meaningful, practical legal solutions.
- Passionate about continuous improvement and open to developing skills in tech-enabled legal delivery.
