Our stated purpose is to create long-term value for all stakeholders, sustainably, and everything we do is shaped by that commitment.
Role Mission
QBS Technology Group is building a structured, scalable sustainability programme across its global operations. As we grow our ESG capabilities including maintaining B Corp certification, a strong EcoVadis rating, and our carbon reporting obligations we are looking for a Sustainability & Compliance Executive to sit at the operational heart of that work. This role is fundamentally about making our ESG programme run. The majority of your time will be spent gathering, collating, and organising the information that underpins our certifications and carbon footprint reporting ensuring data is accurate, complete, and ready when it's needed. You will be the person who keeps the engine running, so that our sustainability commitments are backed by evidence that is always audit-ready. You will receive structured support and mentoring during an initial onboarding period, working alongside our ESG consultant to develop the knowledge and confidence needed to manage these responsibilities with increasing independence. This is a genuine opportunity to grow within a commercially driven, globally active technology business.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Gathering, Collation & Evidence Management (primary focus of the role)
- Own the end-to-end process of gathering ESG data from across the business including energy usage, carbon emissions, supply chain information, and operational metrics from our 24 global offices.
- Collate, organise, and maintain a clean, well-structured evidence base that supports all certification and reporting requirements, including B Corp, EcoVadis, ISO 14001, and carbon footprint submissions.
- Build and maintain relationships with office contacts and internal teams across the Group to ensure data is collected consistently, accurately, and on time.
- Manage version control and filing of all ESG documentation so that the right evidence is always traceable and accessible.
- Support the preparation and population of the Annual Carbon Footprint report, working under the guidance of our ESG consultant.
- Maintain the ESG KPI dashboard, keeping data up to date and flagging any gaps or anomalies.
- Certifications & Compliance Submissions
- Complete and submit ESG questionnaires, client sustainability requests, and regulatory reporting forms accurately and on time, drawing on your well-maintained evidence base.
- Support the annual EcoVadis submission and B Corp recertification process from end to end from data gathering through to final submission.
- Assist with UK compliance obligations including ESOS and SECR, ensuring all required information is in place ahead of deadlines.
- Track the ESG reporting calendar and manage submission windows across multiple frameworks simultaneously.
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a responsive point of contact for ESG-related queries from clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Liaise with local office contacts and Green Champions across the Group to support consistent data collection and engagement with our sustainability goals.
- Prepare clear and concise summaries of ESG progress for internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Learning & Development
- Participate in structured onboarding with our ESG consultant, building practical knowledge of the frameworks and standards relevant to QBS.
- Develop a working understanding of carbon accounting, GHG Protocol principles, and key certification frameworks over time.
- Grow into an increasingly trusted and independent operator within the ESG function.
Personal Profile & Characteristics
- Organised & Detail-Driven: You take real pride in keeping things ordered and accurate whether that's a filing system, a dataset, or a submission deadline. Nothing slips.
- A Natural Gatherer: You are comfortable reaching out across an organisation, chasing information, and piecing together data from multiple sources without losing track of where you are.
- Eager to Learn: You approach new areas with curiosity and confidence, and are comfortable building knowledge in territory that may be new to you.
- Commercially Aware: You understand that sustainability must work for the business, and you balance thoroughness with pragmatism.
- Clear Communicator: You can ask the right questions, summarise information clearly, and communicate progress in a way that is useful and easy to act on.
- Positive & Collaborative: You build good relationships across teams and bring a can-do attitude to the day-to-day.
Experience Requirements
- Experience in an ESG, sustainability, compliance, or administratively intensive operational role for example as an ESG Administrator, Sustainability Assistant, or Junior Executive.
- Demonstrable ability to manage, organise, and maintain large volumes of data and documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
- Familiarity with ESG reporting or certification processes (e.g. EcoVadis, B Corp, ISO 14001) is desirable, though not essential.
- An awareness of carbon reporting frameworks or sustainability standards (e.g. GHG Protocol, ESOS, SECR) would be advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- A degree or qualification in sustainability, environmental science, business, or a related field is welcome but not required.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary
- Private Medical Insurance
