QBE Europe is currently recruiting a Lead Data Enterprise Architect to join our well-established and successful architecture team in our London office. The purpose of this role is to provide technology direction and senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise's systems architecture. This includes supporting stakeholders with strategies, roadmaps, standards, and project options, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of processes to deliver enterprise programs effectively. Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role. QBE may consider sponsorship at its discretion.
Your new role:
- Conduct technology assurance and governance to ensure alignment with architecture policy and practices.
- Maximise alignment and leverage reuse of technology to achieve cost efficiencies.
- Deliver or contribute to strategy, principles, policies, and roadmaps for assigned domains in line with agreed timelines and priorities.
- Establish foundational enterprise architectures for assigned domains and conduct research on emerging architecture and technology trends.
- Lead the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines for technology solutions.
- Actively promote and embed architectural ways of working and due governance.
- Provide oversight and leadership on large projects to support business objectives.
- Ensure Solution Architects understand the strategic direction of projects.
About you:
- Proven expertise as Enterprise Architect, with strong project delivery in large-scale data programs.
- Knowledge of entire Insurance domain, with strong understanding around the underwriting domain and supporting market leading technology knowledge.
- Experience in data architecture, management information and enterprise integration.
- Understanding of advanced analytics and AI enablement.
- Experience in working with third-party suppliers, outsource partners and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability in problem analysis, design techniques and managing parallel architecture programs while prioritising work effectively.
- Strong documentation, communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring alignment with diverse audiences.
- Significant experience in project delivery including large scale program experience.
- Demonstrable experience of establishing and maintaining relationships across the business and influencing design and policy where required.
