This is a high-impact role at a key point in QBE’s growth journey.

You will act as the enterprise owner for captive solutions, shaping how we partner with clients, brokers and internal teams to deliver sophisticated captive-enabled programmes across Europe. Reporting into the Client Proposition team within Market Management, the role combines strategic proposition leadership with hands-on delivery, working closely with Underwriting, Multinational, Risk Solutions, Reinsurance, Finance and Operations.

Your new role:

  • Own and shape QBE’s end-to-end Captive Solutions proposition for Corporate clients as a core part of the Corporate and Multinational strategy.
  • Design a clear, market-facing captive value proposition aligned to QBE’s growth priorities and target client segments.
  • Act as the enterprise owner and subject-matter expert for captive structures across Europe, advising senior stakeholders and underwriting teams.
  • Seamlessly embed captive solutions into Corporate and Multinational engagement, underwriting and servicing models.
  • Lead complex client and broker discussions, including programme design, optimisation and retention of key Corporate clients.
  • Represent QBE externally at broker forums, client meetings and industry events to promote captive capability.
  • Define and evolve the captive operating model, covering onboarding, collateral, premium flows, claims reporting and governance.
  • Drive scalability and efficiency by standardising processes and influencing technology, data and workflow requirements.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in captive management, alternative risk transfer or captive-enabled insurance programmes.
  • Clear technical understanding of captive structures, with the ability to operate “in the detail” as well as at a strategic level.
  • Experience working across Corporate and/or Multinational insurance environments, partnering with underwriting and senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial mindset with the credibility to lead complex client and broker conversations.
  • Comfortable building new capability in a growth environment, where processes and models are still evolving.

Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role. QBE may consider sponsorship at its discretion.

Benefits:

  • 30 days holiday a year with the option to buy up to 2 additional days.
  • Pension – you are automatically enrolled into the QBE pension plan, which entitles you to receive employer contributions of 10% of your basic salary.
  • Private medical insurance – we fund fully comprehensive private medical cover for you and all the family.
