The purpose of this role is to oversee the examination, evaluation, and processing of complex claims estimates and paid claims values, ensuring adherence to policy terms and conditions in alignment with the QBE Claims Philosophy.
Join our dynamic and diverse London markets Complex Claims team! We are looking for an experienced Medical Malpractice Complex Claims Adjuster to join our growing team in Leeds. In this exciting role you'll be investigating, managing, and resolving claims with precision and proactive flair, all while ensuring compliance with SLAs and authority levels. Your new role:
- Investigate, manage, and resolve complex Medical Malpractice complex, high value claims efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and authority limits while managing claims.
- Support the implementation of the Claims strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets.
- Identify and investigate coverage issues to ensure that the company’s liability is in line with its contractual commitments.
- Reserve accurately to ensure that the Company’s liability is always clear.
- Ensure that messages, advice, and correspondence, are responded to pro-actively and within agreed timeframes to provide a professional service to brokers and clients.
- Proactively manage estimates and billings calculated by client’s service providers and brokers resolving any discrepancies.
- Regular interactions with key stakeholders including our customers, brokers, solicitors, external loss adjusters and internal partners.
- Manage disputed claims and other material claims issues to resolve and settle claims on an economic basis.
About you:
- Experience in handling complex high value Medical Malpractice claims. This could be from a claimant or defendant handling background.
- Coaching and mentoring skills.
- Current knowledge of compliance, regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Organisational, investigative, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to make balanced and impartial judgements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Relationship Management skills.
- Able to use MS Office applications and strong IT skills.
