Title: Senior Pricing Actuarial Analyst
Location: London/Manchester/Hybrid
The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Pricing Actuary/Analyst to join our Pricing Data Science team in London to focus on the Commercial Motor portfolio. The role will involve creating robust, future‑focused pricing models and processes, and playing a pivotal role in shaping our Motor pricing strategy. You will manage a small team of analysts and work closely with underwriting, actuarial, data science and senior leadership to drive profitable growth and ensure pricing adequacy and competitiveness.

Your New Role
- Work with the Motor Pricing Data Science lead and build strong relationships with Motor underwriters across the London market, rest of the UK and Canada.
- Be responsible for the ongoing development of Motor models used by the various Motor underwriting teams.
- Work on the case pricing of larger risks and DUAs.
- Fuse new data science techniques with traditional pricing methods to help form a market‑leading team of pricing data science professionals.
- Provide support and guidance to junior members of the Motor Pricing Data Science team.
About You
- Knowledge and experience of working in General Insurance and preferably within London Markets.
- Pricing experience, particularly within Motor, is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Willingness and desire to learn new skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Experience in using Excel, Python, R, SQL or other programming languages.
- Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role. QBE may consider sponsorship at its discretion.
