Overview
We\’re looking for someone who is currently working through actuarial exams and has a passion for data and tools such as Python, Power BI, and SQL.
Responsibilities
- Prepare reports and data for analysis and pricing reviews.
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Recommend changes to actuarial assumptions and update models for improvement.
- Apply relevant actuarial techniques and models.
- Develop reporting and analytical tools for business insight.
- Identify trends in portfolio, valuation, and data analysis.
- Possess knowledge of data sources and link data structures for business performance measures.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to less experienced actuarial staff.
- Ensure accurate data usage and perform appropriate checks to minimise inaccuracies.
- Maintain data integrity and strong relationships with stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a pricing actuarial role within insurance or reinsurance.
- Analytical skills and a love for working with data.
- Solid Excel abilities, with a knack for spotting trends and summarising data.
- SQL or Python experience is a plus – comfortable working with large data sets.
- A collaborative, flexible mindset and a self‑starter who is eager to learn and grow.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
