The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Portfolio Underwriting Analyst to join our established E‑Trade team based in Stafford. This role will support the delivery of key business initiatives by analysing business needs, documenting requirements, supporting governance, and contributing to testing activities to ensure solutions are delivered effectively. You’ll work across Property & Casualty and Financial Lines, so experience in at least one of these product areas is essential.
Your new role
- Lead process and policy improvements across the business unit
- Produce portfolio performance reports and dashboards
- Analyse data to identify trends, issues and opportunities
- Conduct rate reviews and provide clear, data‑driven recommendations
- Lead and mentor analysts to build capability
- Monitor portfolio performance using effective frameworks and metrics
- Maintain awareness of market conditions and emerging trends
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Oversee operational performance and statistics reviews
- Ensure compliance with legislation, industry codes and internal policies
- Support operational and organisational design and implementation
- Support training in Process Excellence (PE) principles

About you
- Business Analyst experience with solid experience using data analytics.
- Experience in at least one of the following product lines; Property & Casualty and/or Financial Lines
- Well-developed IT skills, with a genuine interest in embracing new and emerging technology
- Practical experience of continuous improvement methods and techniques
- Relevant process mapping experience.
