We're looking for a dynamic, go-getter Claims Specialist - Medical Malpractice to join our growing team in Leeds. Join our fast-paced, diverse London Markets Claims team within Core Claims! We're working across a range of areas - Casualty, Property, CAR, Marine, Energy, and more - with a strong international focus. Ready to make an impact? We want you on the team!

Your new role: You'll be the driving force in investigating and resolving claims quickly and efficiently, while handling a diverse international portfolio across the UK, Australia, Canada, Israel, and Dubai. Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure that messages, advice, and correspondence are responded to pro-actively and within agreed timeframes to provide a professional service to brokers and clients.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and authority limits while managing claims.
  • Identify and investigate coverage issues to ensure that the company's liability is in line with its contractual commitments.
  • Reserve accurately to ensure that the Company's liability is always clear.
  • Proactively manage estimates and billings calculated by client's service providers and brokers resolving any discrepancies.
  • Manage disputed Claims and other material Claims issues in order to resolve and settle claims on an economic basis.
  • Support the implementation of the Claims strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets.

About you: In this role, you'll need experience in handling Medical Malpractice, Healthcare, Product Liability, or Life Sciences claims - whether from a claimant or defendant background, or within the Healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have great negotiation skills, the ability to build lasting relationships, and a drive for success.

  • Current knowledge of compliance, regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Organisational, investigative, analytical and presentation skills.
