This is a London based role with hybrid working. A highly visible role supporting QBE’s strategic broker relationships, combining data, coordination and stakeholder engagement at the heart of the distribution function.
The Opportunity
This role offers a great opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across underwriting and distribution, supporting the management of QBE’s most strategic broker relationships. Sitting at the centre of broker engagement activity, the role combines data, coordination and relationship management to ensure objectives are delivered, governance is maintained and insights are clearly communicated. It provides strong exposure to the insurance distribution landscape and is well suited to someone who is analytically minded, organised and keen to build their career in broker or distribution-focused roles within a global insurance business.
Your new role:
- Support the planning, development and delivery of engagement strategies for designated strategic brokers.
- Partner with QBE Account Directors to prepare for and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Track progress against agreed objectives, monitoring performance and highlighting risks or opportunities.
- Coordinate outputs from monthly strategic broker meetings, ensuring actions are delivered to agreed timescales and stakeholders are kept informed.
- Provide day‐to‐day account management support across a portfolio of identified brokers.
- Monitor and report on broker performance, with a focus on new business, retention and profitability.
- Coordinate broker relationship mapping to ensure effective alignment and engagement with priority brokers.
- Leverage data and emerging tools, including AI where appropriate, to streamline processes, improve consistency and enhance reporting and insight.
- Contribute to EO and Global reporting as required.
- Manage the generation, tracking and governance of broker payments in line with contractual terms and broker remuneration policy.
- Support the Head of Agency Management to ensure full compliance with broker onboarding and offboarding processes.
About You
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to prepare, interpret and present data and management information to support decision‐making and stakeholder discussions.
- Sound judgement and confidence to escalate issues appropriately, recognising when risk, governance or timing requires attention.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with confidence working with reports, data and presentation materials; experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce is beneficial.
- A working knowledge of the insurance market, including policies, practices, trends and distribution models, or a strong interest and curiosity to develop this knowledge quickly.
- An understanding of customer and broker service principles, including assessing needs, meeting service standards and supporting positive, long‐term relationships.
- An organised and curious approach, with a willingness to learn and collaborate across teams and geographies, and an interest in distribution or broker relationship management.
