The Opportunity
We are looking to expand our team with a Senior Claims Adjuster who will manage complex and high‑value solicitors professional indemnity claims. This role offers the chance to mentor junior staff, influence strategy and work across a dynamic portfolio.
Your New Role
You will manage a dedicated portfolio of complex and high‑value solicitors PI claims from start to finish and support the Assistant Claims Manager by mentoring junior Claims Adjusters and interns.
Main Responsibilities
- Investigate, manage and resolve complex and high‑value Financial and Specialty Markets claims efficiently and in a timely manner in accordance with policy terms and QBE Claims Philosophy.
- Support the implementation of the Claims strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets.
- Identify and investigate coverage issues to ensure that the company’s liability aligns with contractual commitments.
- Identify subrogation, contribution and other recovery issues and pursue them where appropriate.
- Manage disputed claims and other material claims issues to resolve and settle on an economic basis.
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers so the Claims function fully supports their needs.
- Manage external legal providers, analyse coverage and defence reports and challenge advice to support critical claims decisions.
About You
Experience handling professional indemnity solicitors claims at an insurance company, adjuster, broker or law firm.
Excellent organisational, investigative, analytical and negotiation skills.
Strong communication skills, including presentation experience.
Enthusiasm for change and continued professional development.
Ability to mentor and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Professionalism and understanding of regulatory and statutory standards and requirements.
IT skills, including MS Office and London Market claims systems.
