Overview

Location: London. Time Type: Full time. Worker Type: Employee. Program Finance Officer to join Angela’s expense management team.

The purpose of this role is to support the Portfolio of Transformation Initiatives for both costs and benefits β€” managing financial position, budgeting, analyses, and providing insightful, forward-looking business partnering support. This includes evaluating complex financial data and influencing investment decision-making by offering solutions, challenging assumptions, and navigating complex processes on behalf of senior stakeholders. The role also requires producing accurate and timely management information, including complex financial performance analysis, and translating data into decision-relevant insights aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Interact closely with Program/Project managers and attend Program/Portfolio/Transformation committees to present and challenge investment, value realisation, and financial risk management aligned to Program activities.
  • Collaborate with senior LT members for reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting across various shared services functions.
  • Deliver accurate financial reporting metrics by analysing financial data, performing data entry, verifying accuracy, and collaborating with senior leadership as needed.
  • Support and challenge Project Business Cases, aligning investment and benefit realisation with project deliverables and outcomes.
  • Align with the broader finance business partnering and planning teams; prepare and maintain budgeting and forecasting tools for assigned lines of business.
  • Prepare regular reports, recommendations, and interpretations to the leadership group based on financial and operating data and budget variances.
  • Develop and maintain efficient processes for financial planning and analysis that link to strategic objectives.
  • Assist in the financial analysis of project feasibility and benefits realised from key initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
  • Manage day-to-day activity of the offshore support team.

About You

  • Experience of delivering impactful finance-to-business presentations.
  • Previous transformation/change accounting experience is essential.
  • Experience with Value Realisation Frameworks is essential.
  • Management accounting experience in a business-facing client support role is required.
  • Accounting experience in management accounting, financial planning, and analysis.
  • Insurance background is an advantage.
  • Significant experience in an accounting role.
  • Experience as a people manager is desirable.
