QBE Europe is recruiting for an Operational Resilience Manager to join a well-established risk and resilience team in either our Leeds or London office. In the role you will be responsible for leading the development, maintenance, and implementation of policies and frameworks for business continuity and operational resilience. You will champion practical resilience solutions to support the business in implementing, testing, and enhancing resilience solutions.

Your new role:

  • Lead the development and implementation of business continuity and operational resilience policies.
  • Participate in annual planning and set objectives to ensure high-quality results.
  • Develop and deliver training and communication plans for all business functions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert providing effective guidance and advice on operational resilience regulations.
  • Identify vulnerabilities through comprehensive testing and support strategic solutions.
  • Engage with internal customers to enhance delivery and drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate crisis and incident handling to facilitate effective crisis response.
  • Manage business continuity and operational resilience tools and liaise with software providers.
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills relevant to frameworks through personal development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, motivation, and collaboration within the team.

About you:

  • Experience in a business-facing role.
  • Proven experience of handling data and producing operational documentation in a structured, coherent, and efficient manner for various audiences.
  • Proven ability to review, understand and interpret documents.
  • Proven experience of working effectively with all levels throughout the organisation.
  • Sound experience of evidence-based control development and execution.
  • Experience of working in a flexible environment.
  • Sound Business Continuity and Operational Resilience management experience.
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment & dealing with internal and external audits would be helpful.
