The Underwriting Performance Manager supports the delivery of profitable, sustainable underwriting outcomes by providing high quality performance insight, planning support and analytical challenge to Underwriting leadership. Working closely with Underwriters, Finance, Exposure Management and Portfolio teams, the role is responsible for monitoring underwriting performance against plan, identifying drivers of variance, and supporting informed decision making through robust analysis and reporting. The role plays a key part in coordinating underwriting planning and reforecast processes, ensuring consistency between plans, performance reporting and portfolio metrics. The Underwriting Performance Manager contributes to the development and continuous improvement of performance management frameworks, tools and governance, and acts as a trusted partner to underwriting teams in understanding results, risks and opportunities.

We are seeking an experienced Underwriting Performance Manager to support the delivery of profitable and sustainable underwriting outcomes across our International business. In this highly visible role, you will partner closely with Underwriters, Finance, Exposure Management and Portfolio teams to provide meaningful performance insights, challenge assumptions, and support strategic decision-making. You will play a pivotal role in monitoring underwriting performance, coordinating planning and forecasting activities, and helping leaders understand risks, opportunities and business drivers. About you:

  • Experience working within the Lloyd's market and a strong understanding of Lloyd's performance, planning and reporting requirements is essential.
  • Experience in underwriting performance, portfolio management, actuarial, finance or a related analytical role within the insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting performance metrics, portfolio management and profitability drivers.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior underwriting and business leaders.
