Overview
In this role you will underwrite technology-related insurance risks in line with the Business Plan while holding personal authority to drive objectives. You will build and maintain influential relationships with customers, brokers, and partners, and help shape strategy through your underwriting expertise. Youβll stay aligned with reinsurance and regulatory requirements, promote the department and brand, and keep pace with market dynamics to operate effectively. This is a pivotal role in growing a technology book within a global insurer that values collaboration and impact.

Responsibilities
- Underwrite risks in accordance with the Business Plan and personal authority
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, brokers, partners, and colleagues
- Develop relationships aligned with the Business Plan to support objectives
- Understand and comply with reinsurance strategy to minimise risk and achieve business goals
- Contribute to strategy development and share knowledge and best practices
- Promote the department, division, and company to maximise brand leverage
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations
- Adhere to underwriting standards and best practices to minimise risk and improve efficiency
- Stay informed on market dynamics and demonstrate market cycle awareness
Key requirements
- Underwriting experience within technology product lines
- Commercial ability to understand key profit drivers
- Intermediate level Excel and other departmental software
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and interpersonal skills
- Good negotiating skills and an innovative underwriting approach
