Primary DetailsTime Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeUnderwriter - Transactional Liability / W&IRole Highlights London, with hybrid working Enhance your career in an exciting and ever-changing environmentThe Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an Underwriter to join our Transactional Liability team based in our London office, with flexibility for some remote work.Our superior products and services minimise risk, allowing for efforts to be focused on more critical responsibilities, like securing the deal.In this role, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as evaluating broker submissions, preparing quotes, and assisting the team with underwriting a broad spectrum of W&I risks.We’re building momentum towards our vision to become the most consistent and innovative risk partner. Perform underwriting activities in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are metContribute to the recording and measurement of insurance risks to ensure accuracy and good practiceMaintain and develop relationships with stakeholders including customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues, to increase exposure in the market.Develop knowledge of market dynamics and market cycles to be able to support business performance.Underwrite insurance risks to meet business objectives including negotiating rates, terms and conditions for existing and new business, ensuring production and issue of contract certainty documentation and supporting credit control in payment collection.Support the review and analysis of the portfolio to identify progress towards business objectivesAbout you:Previous Underwriting experience in Transactional Liability / W&ICommercial ability to understand the key profit drivers to maximise long term wealth for our shareholdersGood knowledge of legal and regulatory requirementsExcellent organisational, prioritisation and interpersonal skillsGood negotiating skills, innovative in underwriting approach and programme designUse of risk profiling and pricing tools and loss modelsBenefitsWe offer a range of benefits to help provide holistic support for your work life, whatever your circumstances. 30 days holiday a year with the option to buy up to 2 additional days.
