This is an exciting opportunity to join the QBE Insurance Division’s Strategy and Transformation team, playing an active role in shaping and supporting the execution of the CORE2030 Strategy and Modernisation Agenda. The Strategy Associate Manager will be responsible for developing strategic opportunities and initiatives, supporting the execution and management of key workstreams and projects across the Insurance Division. This role includes coordinating cross-functional teams and providing strategic advice to senior management in support of the Strategy and Transformation Leadership Team.

Your new role
- Plan, manage, and deliver strategy initiatives aligned to our strategy (CORE2030), defined targets (OKRs), and the Modernisation Agenda.
- Partner with Strategy & Transformation leaders, the CTO and Technology teams to solve complex business problems and develop growth options across markets, products, and tech.
- Facilitate workshops; conduct structured analyses; translate trends and data into actionable insights and decision options.
- Coordinate cross‐functional experts; build alignment across a matrix and move workstreams forward at pace.
- Translate strategy into clear initiatives or OKRs; track and report progress and impacts across the Insurance Division.
- Independently manage strategic and transformation initiatives, injecting innovative thinking into business challenges.
- Influence and support senior stakeholders; manage relationships effectively to secure buy‐in and sustain change.
- Contribute to portfolio governance such as business case development and shaping to ensure delivery is aligned with strategy.
About you
- Experience in strategy or transformation (consultancy or corporate), with insurance sector exposure highly desirable (Underwriting, Distribution, Operations and/or Claims).
- Proven track record delivering strategic and change solutions in complex, regulated environments.
- Strong analytical and critical‐thinking capability, including market/competitor analysis and scenario development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; confident influencing at senior levels.
- A skilled facilitator with a systems‐thinking approach, able to recognise which stakeholders need to be engaged across different products and regions.
- Comfortable operating in a matrix; adept at managing competing priorities and ambiguity.
