QBE Europe is recruiting a Data Strategy & Operations Manager to join the EO Data & AI function. This role supports the ongoing transformation of Data, Analytics and AI by providing strong execution discipline, portfolio coordination and change enablement across the data capability. Working closely with the Head of Data Strategy & Operations, the role ensures that data initiatives are prioritised, planned and tracked effectively, and that change is delivered into value streams in line with enterprise priorities. Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role. QBE may consider sponsorship at its discretion.
Your New Role
- Own EO Data & AI roadmap delivery discipline
- Own and maintain the integrated EO Data & AI strategy roadmap, including plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID, decision points and escalation paths.
- Own portfolio-level oversight of in-flight initiatives, actively driving risk/issue management, dependency resolution and timely escalation.
- Own executive-ready reporting for senior stakeholders and Group CDATO (progress, risks, dependencies, delivery confidence, and value), ensuring a single source of truth.
- Own benefits management and value realisation governance
- Own the benefits/value management framework across data initiatives (definitions, baselines, evidence standards and cadence).
- Govern benefit tracking with delivery/value stream leads, challenging assumptions and ensuring value is evidenced and reported.
- Own strategic communications and engagement
- Own the communications plan for the EO Data & AI portfolio (updates, showcases, success stories), tailoring messages for different stakeholder audiences and decision forums.
- Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, surfacing trade-offs and impacts clearly.
- Lead cross-functional alignment and operational effectiveness
- Lead cross-functional alignment across Data, Technology, Finance and business stakeholders to resolve blockers, align dependencies and maintain shared commitments.
- Own continuous improvement of Data Strategy & Operations ways of working, artefacts and governance effectiveness.
About You
- Experience in strategy, portfolio management, transformation or operations roles, ideally within data or technology environments.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, managing multiple initiatives in parallel.
- Experience supporting prioritisation, planning or delivery governance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A structured, delivery-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to operate effectively within a matrix organisation.
