Data Modeller – EO
Location: London | Full time | Permanent | Employee | Flexible working available.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and maintenance of conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Contribute to end-to-end solution design activities, ensuring data architecture and data products align with business and technology objectives.
- Define and enforce data modelling standards and best practices.
- Ensure alignment between current‑state and target‑state architecture.
- Maintain deep understanding of curated and provisioned data layers.
- Identify and mitigate data design and solution design risks.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to define scalable and maintainable solution patterns.
- Ensure models and solutions support scalability, performance, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Enable faster, more reliable delivery of data products and business capabilities.
- Strategic Programme Enablement
- Provide data modelling and solution design leadership for strategic initiatives such as Insurance Core Platform (ICP) and Finance Modernisation.
- Support programme teams with solution options, impact assessments, and design decisions.
- Reduce design risk, rework, and onboarding time across programmes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Data Architecture, Engineering, Group Data Office, business stakeholders, and programme delivery teams.
- Translate business requirements into robust data models and solution designs.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews, providing subject matter expertise on data structures, integration patterns, and information management.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in enterprise data modelling (Data Vault, dimensional, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of insurance data domains (Finance, Claims, Actuarial preferred).
- Experience contributing to solution architecture and design within large-scale data platforms.
- Experience working on large transformation programmes.
- Ability to operate as both a hands‑on modeller and a strategic advisor and solution design contributor.
- Strong understanding of data integration, data product, and analytical solution patterns.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
