The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Treasury leader ready to take on a broad, high-impact role at the heart of a global insurer? This role brings together European Treasury leadership and QCAP Treasury oversight, reflecting the growing complexity of QBE's European footprint, regulatory requirements, and capital activity. You'll play a critical role in ensuring strong liquidity, funding resilience and balance‑sheet optimisation, while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk and Capital. Your new role
In this Senior Treasury role, you’ll lead Treasury and Treasury Operations for Europe, while also supporting the evolving needs of QBE Capital (QCAP) and its third‑party business. You’ll be responsible for cash, liquidity and funding across multiple currencies and jurisdictions, contributing to capital structure decisions and supporting strategic initiatives such as Project Coral. The role sits within a small, highly collaborative Treasury team, where hands‑on delivery and strong relationships are essential.
- Provide Treasury insight and reporting to senior management, Boards and Committees
- Support strategic transactions and capital initiatives
- Oversee bank relationships, payments and liquidity processes
- Drive effective use of Treasury systems, data and analytics
- Lead and develop team members, with one direct report and a clear succession focus
About you
You’ll bring a strong blend of technical Treasury expertise and stakeholder leadership, with the ability to operate confidently in a complex, regulated environment.
- Significant Treasury experience within insurance
- Strong understanding of European and UK cash and liquidity management, including regulatory considerations
- Experience working with funding, liquidity and collateral‑adjacent activity
- Confidence managing bank relationships, payments and Treasury systems
- Strong stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to partner effectively across Finance, Risk and Capital
- Comfortable working in small, hands‑on teams, balancing strategy with delivery
- Interest in data, automation and continuous improvement in Treasury operations
