Overview
We have an Underwriter role available within Simon Pearce's team, focusing on Property & Casualty European DUA portfolio. You'll play a key role in the underwriting, development and oversight of a diverse and internationally oriented delegated book. This role offers exposure to a broad range of business, working closely with brokers, coverholders and internal stakeholders to drive profitable growth while maintaining strong underwriting discipline and governance.
Your New Role
- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Property & Casualty European DUA business, in line with QBE’s underwriting appetite, authority levels and governance standards.
- Assess, structure and support new and renewal DUA opportunities, ensuring clear underwriting rationale and robust performance monitoring.
- Act as a key point of contact for brokers and coverholders, building strong, collaborative relationships across European markets.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of underwriting guidelines, portfolio insights and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the effective use of underwriting tools and frameworks, including the DUA Rulebook and performance monitoring systems.
About You
- Proven Property & Casualty experience with DUA knowledge.
- Clear underwriting judgement, with the ability to balance commercial opportunity and disciplined risk assessment.
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging brokers, coverholders and internal partners.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with high attention to detail and ownership of outcomes.
