Your new role

You’ll support the delivery of the Data Protection team’s objectives, providing practical privacy advice and helping maintain effective privacy frameworks across European Operations.

  • Supporting the interpretation and application of privacy laws and regulatory requirements across European Operations
  • Monitoring ongoing compliance with EO country and Lloyd’s privacy requirements
  • Assisting with the maintenance of privacy risk controls, governance documentation and records
  • Supporting the upkeep of Article 30 Records of Processing Activities
  • Helping manage data subject rights requests in line with statutory timeframes
  • Supporting Data Privacy Impact Assessments and other inbound privacy‑related requests
  • Assisting with privacy reporting, including contributions to management, board and committee packs
  • Helping ensure privacy notices, cookie banners and intranet content remain accurate and up to date

About You

  • You’re a strong communicator who can build effective relationships across the business, absorb new information quickly and apply it in a practical way.
  • You’re comfortable working in a regulated environment and enjoy being part of a collaborative, solution‑focused team.
  • Experience in a privacy, compliance or risk role within a regulated organisation
  • Exposure to GDPR and data protection regulations
  • Background or experience within commercial insurance or financial services is highly desirable
  • Preference for candidates with previous privacy experience within a commercial insurance organisation
  • An interest in emerging technologies, including the use of AI in business processes
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence engaging with stakeholders at different levels
  • Ability to manage routine and administrative privacy activities effectively
  • A proactive approach to learning and professional development
