The Opportunity
QBE Europe is recruiting for a Business Analyst to join a well-established Transformation and Technology team. The Persistent Business Analyst will provide portfolio level continuity and resilience across the International Markets and Multinational change portfolio. The role will mitigate delivery risk arising from Business Analyst absence, support short duration and early-stage initiatives, and accelerate the creation of consistent As-Is process documentation. Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role. QBE may consider sponsorship at its discretion.
Responsibilities
- Continuity & Leave Cover: Maintain essential analysis activity during leave periods to minimise delivery disruption. Provide short-term continuity support during unplanned or sickness absence, subject to availability. Focus on maintaining delivery momentum rather than advancing additional scope.
- Short Duration & Early-Stage Initiative Support: Support small, well defined, time-boxed initiatives, including early discovery and scoping. Conduct exploratory analysis and options development. Assist initiative shaping and mobilisation support.
- As-Is Process Documentation: Produce and maintain consistent As-Is process documentation across IM and MNL. Build reusable process knowledge assets to reduce reliance on individual BA knowledge. Improve portfolio level understanding of current state processes and flows.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation: Facilitate workshops to support discovery, shaping and stakeholder alignment. Engage effectively with a wide range of business and technology stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting multiple initiatives or portfolios.
- Strong experience across discovery, shaping and early delivery phases.
- Quick to build understanding of unfamiliar business areas, operating processes and key stakeholders.
- Comfortable reprioritising and moving between concurrent initiatives as needed.
- Strong requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation skills.
- Experience producing As-Is process documentation.
- Confident facilitator of workshops and stakeholder discussions.
Benefits
- 30 days holiday a year with the option to buy up to 2 additional days.
- Flexible working – balancing work and life is important so our flexible working opportunities are open to all, including part-time, job share and compressed hours.
- Pension – automatically enrolled into the QBE pension plan, with employer contributions of 10% of basic salary.
