We are restoring and repurposing New River Head, an industrial heritage site in Clerkenwell, to create the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration. Designed by Tim Ronalds Architects, the site's five historic buildings will be converted into accessible exhibition galleries, a learning studio, project space, café-event space and shop, surrounded by gardens. We entered the construction phase in autumn 2024 and the Centre is due to open to the public in May 2026.

The Centre will present temporary exhibitions exploring and celebrating different aspects of illustration. It will house three gallery spaces, a Learning Studio, a shop, café, and administrative and archival storage spaces.

We are now seeking to secure the services of a Signage and Wayfinding contractor to manufacture and install high quality signage throughout the centre. The contractor will need to work closely with our graphic designer, Fraser Muggeridge, and our Operations and Facilities Manager to fabricate and install the scheme.

Please email jobs@qbcentre.org.uk to express interest and receive the tender pack, including brief and instructions on how to submit a bid.
