An established and employee-owned specialist contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Fire Protection division. The business delivers complex construction and infrastructure projects across the UK and has an excellent reputation for quality, technical expertise and long-term career development.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take commercial responsibility for a range of fire protection projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, profitably and in line with contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Full commercial management of multiple projects
  • Cost planning, forecasting and reporting
  • Managing valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Administering NEC and JCT contracts
  • Procurement and management of subcontractors
  • Identifying and managing commercial risk
  • Producing commercial reports for senior management
  • Supporting tenders and client relationships
  • Mentoring junior commercial staff

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Previous Senior QS experience within construction
  • Experience within fire protection, remediation or other regulated sectors preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NEC & JCT contracts
  • Excellent commercial, contractual and financial management skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficient with Excel and commercial reporting systems
